Ku Laoshi

My name is Anny Chiao Yun Ku, I grew up and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Taipei, Taiwan. I earned my Master’s degree in Providence, RI. I have been receiving annual certificates in the Educational Training Program for Teaching Mandarin Chinese sponsored by the Overseas Compatriots Affairs Commission since 1996 to 2014. I also got a certificate for teaching Advanced Placement Chinese Language in 2006 and a certificate from the Chinese subject test of the Massachusetts Tests for Educator Licensure in 2005. I completed my Early Childhood Education credential at the City College of San Francisco. I taught in the Boston public school system and the Sharon Public School system in Massachusetts for many years and ShuRen international school for two years . I also taught Mandarin Chinese at The Chinese Language School on weekends from 1997 to 2014 . I especially enjoy working with children and helping them to discover and learn interesting Chinese and Chinese Culture. I also continue to learn Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Credential.
