Only practical work and experiences lead the young to maturity.

Kuo Laoshi – Montessori Chinese Teacher
I was born into a large caring family in Taiwan. When I grew older, I came to the United States to study at University of California, Berkeley. While I was attending college, my niece was born, leading to my first exposure to early childhood education. I was deeply attracted to the teaching philosophy of Montessori, founded on the belief that each child is an independent individual with unique processes of development. Thus, I began my journey of studying early childhood education. I had my student teaching at Contra Costa College and received my Montessori Early Childhood Credential and Child Development site Supervisor Permit from American Montessori Society in 2005 and 2007 respectively. Then I joined ANCCS Chinese Teacher Training Class and have been teaching Chinese and Montessori until now. I treasure my time spent with each child, and am very happy to be able to accompany them as they grow and learn.
